It is a paper coating designed for direct contact with food and beverages. It can be used in conventional ovens, microwaves, and refrigerators. This coating is biodegradable in landfills in just twelve weeks, compostable, and recyclable. It has excellent printing capability and is grease-resistant.
Types
BIOVITALIO® is available in two presentations, each adapted to different types of machines and needs:
- AQUEOUS COLLOID: This concentrated material provides excellent paper adhesion and is used in drying towers up to 7 meters high. It is ideal for packaging, offering a reliable, high-quality solution.
- RAPID DRYING COLLOID: This ultra-concentrated version provides exceptional paper adhesion. Like the aqueous colloid, it is mainly used in packaging, ensuring superior results and maximum efficiency.
Applications
We also offer Biopaper (made from paper pulp coated with BIOVITALIO®), which is food-grade and meets the highest safety and hygiene standards. It is soft to the touch and has excellent printing capabilities.
It biodegrades in soil within a maximum of twelve weeks, leaving no traces of microplastics. This paper is suitable for extremely hot and cold temperatures without material migration, making it ideal for use in ovens and microwaves, withstanding temperatures of up to 250 degrees Celsius.
Unlike traditional polycoated paper with PE1 or PE2 lamination, our Biopaper is exempt from composting regulations and is fully recyclable.
Biopaper is free from heavy metals, ensuring product safety and environmental protection.
BIOVITALIO® is certified as compostable according to the European standard EN13432, making it the only material in the Americas certified as both compostable and biodegradable in gardens and homes. This achievement reflects our commitment to sustainability and drives us to continue developing innovative and environmentally-friendly solutions.
