Biovitalio® is the first and only material that has it all to make disposables that DON’T pollute, meaning it absolutely fulfills all the premises that the circular economy seeks because:

It’s 100% recyclable

Something that can rarely be achieved, as although it sounds good in theory, in most cases, the details matter, such as: how feasible is it to recycle the material? And even more specific, is it recyclable in the geographical location where it’s consumed or will be consumed, in this case, Mexico?

Biovitalio® is 100% recyclable in the same conventional paper recyclers used to process cardboard boxes. Furthermore, it leaves no waste or contamination in the recycled paper with those small shavings that we’ve all seen in recycled products. In other words, recycling Biovitalio® produces a completely uniform material. These types of recyclers are found almost everywhere in the world, as they are some of the most basic recycling machines.

It’s 100% biodegradable

It’s essential to remember that biodegradation depends entirely on the conditions in which biodegradation might be possible, for example: in the sea, freshwater, air, soil, landfill, etc. So, it’s always important to see under what conditions materials will indeed be biodegradable.

Biovitalio® is biodegradable in all environments, starting from 22 days in organic waste, 45 days in the sea, and 90 days in the earth, all of this in compliance with ASTM standards endorsed by the Composting Certification of the European EN-13432 Standard by DIN-CERTCO.

It’s garden compostable

Composting of a material can be either industrial or at home, as we discussed earlier. However, Biovitalio® is garden compostable, meaning you can simply bury it in the ground, and it will be completely consumed by plants within 12 weeks, leaving no residues or microplastics. This is especially important because, for example, when buried while containing a plant, the Biovitalio® cup will provide nutrients for the plant’s growth, confirming that it is non-toxic and entirely plastic-free.

It’s plastic-free

As mentioned earlier, disposable cups on the market contain a plastic layer to make them waterproof and suitable for holding liquids since paper (cellulose) is not inherently waterproof. This is the same reason that makes them so problematic and constitutes at least 20% of them: plastic.

Biovitalio® cups are plastic-free because their coating is made of Polvitalio®, which allows all its benefits as well as environmental care once they are discarded.

Multiple Applications

Currently, we offer rolls to make all kinds of disposables for contact with greasy foods and beverages. From cups for cold and hot beverages to fast food containers. Biovitalio® rolls have multiple applications to make companies much more responsible in their consumption, aligning with the construction of a more sustainable planet.
